About Ahmed Al Araifi

  Born in 1945. Received a Bachelors Degree from the College of Fine Arts – Cairo. His first artistic participation was in Bapco Exhibition for Amateur Artists Club in 1965. Worked for 20 years as Superintendent of Plastic Arts Division, Ministry of Information, and as Arts Advisor at the Crown Prince’s Court for 9 years.

Won the joint first prize in the Fourth Plastic Arts Exhibition for Bahraini Artists. Participated in most of the exhibitions organized by the Ministry of Information in Bahrain and abroad and won numerous prizes and certificates of appreciation. He also represented the Kingdom of Bahrain in many art conferences and festivals. A pioneer of local and Islamic decoration whose distinguished works can be seen in mosques, palaces, squares and other artistic productions. Keen to preserve the Bahraini decoration Heritage. Currently, the owner of Gulf Arabesque and Ahmed Al-Arifi Art Centre, where he continues his various artistic contributions for the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
